nmsndhxx asked: I ran into your blog & I absolutely love it. I love to dance but I'm not technically trained but I'm hoping I can take a bunch of dance classes when I go to college. I would seriously reblog your whole blog if I could. Thanks for keeping up such an amazing blog. (:

jimmyinfamy asked: For the 16 year old who wants to be flexible. Always make sure you are warmed up really well. A cold stretch will do more harm than good. Also make sure you never overstretch. I did this once a year back and I lost my front splits for a good while and I did it again recently and lost my front oversplits. So try and force yourself farther and farther each time but always be super careful.
angeliquesimone asked: I would agree with everything said before. Make sure you stretch especially after you are done dancing for the day because you are most warm and you don't want to leave with tight muscles. Ask about resistance stretching (engaging and relaxing muscles in your stretches) so that you build strength along with your flexibility. Good luck!
beeraddfordd asked: This is for @surroundedbywhitewalls. Basically what @boysinballet said. Stretch as much as you can. I started dancing just last school year, and now I'm in my school's dance company. I got the splits down after a little less than four months of trying this school year, and I'm so close now to being able to do an assisted arabesque penchee. More flexible than some of the dance...
jesuswasacommunist asked: Other than what boysinballet said, stretch pretty much whenever possible, to get higher leaps remember to start out with a high passe. like, have your thigh go out nice and high because the higher you have it it'll help your legs go out more straight across rather than pointing a little downward. i don't know how to explain it very well haha but hopefully you get what i mean!
