Tours en l'air is a common jump done by guys and if you land wrong out of one, you could potentially do a number on yourself if you don't have the proper strength. Basically, jumps suck. For the pointe ask, I do pointe in order to better understand my partnering and what the girl needs to do. I actually ended up doing pointe onstage for a ballet. It's not that uncommon for men to study pointe.
